Roger von Oech, an American speaker, author, and toy-maker, has dedicated his career to the exploration of creativity. Additionally, his company produces magnetic toys that are specifically designed to foster creativity in individuals of all ages.
The building kits created by his company consist of blocks with simple shapes and uniform colors. Despite their simplicity, these blocks can be combined in countless ways, offering unlimited possibilities for creating a wide array of figures.
30 X-pieces and a booklet – hidden in a small box (right). 30 X form an icosidodecahedron – Leonardo Da Vinci’s favorite polyhedron, which has 30 vertices and consists of 12 pentagons and 20 triangles. Designer and inventor – Roger von Oech – is a well-known specialist in the field of creative thinking 🙂
I shall say that the booklet, although black and white, is actually and thorough. There are 96 small pages. It tells in detail about what you can build from these X-shaped parts and why, about compatibility with Y-ball and Ball of Whacks, and a lot of useful (more for adults, of course) information.
