So the most beloved and long-awaited kids holiday has arrived – Christmas is here!
Many children came in carnival costumes, they dance, sing Christmas songs and read poems.
And of course, Santa Claus came to congratulate the kids and give them their gifts.
This is a bigger portable set. Instead of a small plastic suitcase, it has a big box with furniture and extra items.
We have this a flexible road for rolling cars. IIt’s name is Zip Track (really similar to a zipper) or Build-A-Road. There should be some additional structures – bridges, sidings or tunnels to create a full-fledged route. But we bought it used some time ago, so we don’t have these elements. However, this is not an obstacle for playing – the children themselves make all the necessary improvements. Our bridge is from a labyrinth for marbles, and the tunnel is Playmobil. Thanks to its great flexibility, you can invent any route option – straight, curved, round. The track is assembled from identical parts that are tightly fastened together, and the gaps do not interfere with the nimble movement of the cars.
Portable Playmobil sets come in two sizes – smaller sets with a suitcase, and the bigger ones with a box. This is what one of smaller sets has in it. This isn’t much to play at home, but this set can be a good travel options. There are many portable sets of all the main Playmobil themes – firefighters, police, animals, pirates, magic and so on.
Playmobil has a series of portable, travel sets. They have very few pieces or items, but they come in travel cases or boxes. These sets can be a good option for a long travel or an outdoors playtime.

Everything this Playmobil set contains. The truck actually comes in a few big pieces, but the picture shows it after the assembly. Transparent spear-like things in the bottom left corner are the water projectiles the water cannon will shoot.
This fire truck has only 86 pieces – and these pieces are mostly the extra items for the game. The vehicle itself comes in form of a few huge sections you just need to assemble. There is little to build – but when you done, you will get a good toy to play with. You can roll the truck around, rotate the ladder or remove the top of the cabin. Water cannon actually shoots platic “water”. There are also flexible firehoses and many extra items like the traffic cones.
There are very few things for building, but big playing opportunities.
Playmobil City Action and City Life series look very similar to LEGO City. They also have police, ambulance, rescue and firefighter vehicles of different sizes. The biggest sets are building of the same theme – like police station or a hospital. However, Playmobil sets, unlike LEGO, are focusing on play, not building. They have very little to no building options – but Playmobil also have more interesting extra pieces and options.
