Bulldozer From Magnetic Stick N Stack

Assembled the vehicle. Naturally, mommy actually did it, 2-year-old Afonya just used it. Of course, you can play with a bulldozer, but the active movements of a young motorist quickly turn it into a pile of magnetic parts. In the end, the son realized that it was necessary either to roll the vehicle around carefully, or to repair it.

MAGNA-TILES Rectangles Expansion Set

This Magna-Tiles set has only very big rectangular plates. It is meant to become an addition to some other set you already own. It’s hard to build something using only this set, but it can do wonders with any set of usual-sized pieces. These big plates are rare in other Magna-Tiles set, and they allow creation of bigger buildings and sculptures. The only minus of the set is lack of magnets in the center of bigger plate – you can only add things to the edges.

Playmags – Magnetic Panels And Grids On Wheels

After we received our Magnetic Stick N Stack set with wheels, we found another version of Magna-Tiles on the Internet – the Playmags magnetic kit. Visually, we liked it. First of all, because of 4 potential vehicles and the original “fence” elements, from which you can build a frame for a truck, and a fence on a farm, and lay rails for a train. Now we are thinking…

PicassoTiles 36 Piece Quarter Round and Window Set

This is an interesting version of a classic magnetic tiles set by PicassoTiles. Instead of solid tiles, this set mostly has pieces with all kinds of hollow windows in them. This set looks and feels like a stained glass window with beautiful colored shapes you can assemble in any way you want. As with any PicassoTiles toy, this set has strong magnets and high overall quality.

MAGNA-TILES Stardust

This is a small, but interesting set by Magna-Tiles. All squares in this set have either glittery plastic or mirror surface. All crafts made from this set has unique appearence. The cons are small size of the set (only 15 pieces) and small choice of shapes – there are only triangles and squares. However, you can use Stardust with any other Magna-Tiles set, adding mirrors and glitter to your crafts.

Metro Mags – Yet Another Version Of Magna-Tiles

Metro Mags and Magnetic Stick N Stack are most likely clones and cousins of the original Magna-Tiles. I don’t know what the quality of Metro Mags is. But something tells me that it’s no worse than the Magnetic Stick N Stack. And we checked this one and were quite satisfied, it doesn’t differ from the original in magnetic properties.

The Magnetic Baseplate From Magnetic Stick N Stack Kit

Magnetic Stick N Stack is the same as Magna-Tiles, tested empirically. But Magna-Tiles doesn’t has this wonder. So we will definitely get a couple of these plates at the first opportunity. Building from magnetic panels on a magnetic board, of course, is also convenient, but this plate is what you need for making ceilings, large roofs of large garages (a very actual topic for us). Its size is 30×30 cm!
