The magnetic construction set is one of the favorites. We build pyramids, towers, and castles, but recently the kids have enjoyed making panoramas. Arishka (2.3 years old) made the town with my little hints. She really loves the magnetic construction set and has been playing with a large magnetic construction set with 5 cm diameter balls for over a year. Now she has moved on to a smaller one. It’s challenging but interesting – you can’t make her stop.
Category: Magnetic balls and rods (Geomag, Bornimago, Magnetix, Magneticus)
One of the most popular types of magnetic building toys consists of plastic beams equipped with magnets in their tips, along with steel balls that act as connectors. The magnetic forces hold these parts together, allowing kids to connect them at various angles and attach multiple beams to each ball.
These magnetic building toys offer endless possibilities for assembly, enabling children to create structures in any desired shape or form. While geometric shapes tend to provide greater stability, the flexibility of the magnetic connections encourages imaginative designs.

A Walk of Anteaters
The author is my son (11 years old) made anteaters with long ears. Such specimen do not exist in nature, but this way they are much prettier, according to the son. We put 2 anthill pyramids, then made trees. The eldest daughter (9 years old) built a pond (in the upper right corner) with lush vegetation. 2-year-old Arishka, of course, took an active part, handing over the details and constructing flowers. The stones scattered throughout the forest are what the round and oval cicadas are then made of. You can read more about the life of anteaters here.
A house, a hammer and a pyramid made by Alena – Magnext
A house, a hammer and a pyramid made by my daughter from Magnext building kit.
I bought this constructor so that the children could see something magnetical and luminous
Those who held this constructor in their hands will understand my bewilderment, at the first meeting with him – is that SUCH money for that ?! Firstly, not enough, and secondly, the parts made of transparent plastic looked somehow … unimpressive. All skepticism disappeared when we started connecting, recharging in the light, and then looking at the structures in the dark!
Geomag Pro-L Pocket Set
Geomag Pro-L sets have more powerful magnets than other Geomag sets and are made for older, more expirienced kids. Bigger Pro-L sets have rods, balls and panels of different shapes. There are also small Pro-L sets in portable cases. They have no panels, but, since the magnets are more powerful than usual, you still can build many interesting things with these sets.

GEOMAG Pro-L
Geomag promotes Pro-L as the sets for more expierenced and mature builders. They have calm colors and more powerful magnets than other sets, so you can assemble bigger crafts from these sets.
Supercolor GEOMAG Panels
Along with the classic sets with the panels, Geomag also has a line of very similar sets, but in different colors. These Supercolor sets have pieces of different colors, while Classic sets come with 2-3 colors in each box. The general concepts and available sizes, however, are all the same.
