Medium-sized Geomag Panels set has ornge, red and yellow colors, while both bigger and smaller sets are blue and green.
Category: Magnetic balls and rods (Geomag, Bornimago, Magnetix, Magneticus)
One of the most popular types of magnetic building toys consists of plastic beams equipped with magnets in their tips, along with steel balls that act as connectors. The magnetic forces hold these parts together, allowing kids to connect them at various angles and attach multiple beams to each ball.
These magnetic building toys offer endless possibilities for assembly, enabling children to create structures in any desired shape or form. While geometric shapes tend to provide greater stability, the flexibility of the magnetic connections encourages imaginative designs.
GEOMAG
GEOMAG is a Swiss toy brand, specializing on magnetic building kits.
Most GEOMAG building kits contail magnetic rods and contacting balls, and often there are extra panels which can fill space between the rods in assembled structures. This way, toys made from GEOMAG pieces look not just like hollow shapes, but more like actual solid items. Some kits also contain special parts like wheels. Pro-L is a more advanced version of these kits, with big number of pieces and strong magnets.
Another type of GEOMAG building toys are sets with cubic blocks which can connect to each other in any direction. These sets are mostly intended for the younger children, so they have fewer, but bigger pieces.
There are also GEOMAG KOR series of toys, with blocks centered around magnetic core creating animal-like shapes. Children may reassemble those pieces in any way they like, creating new fantastic creatures.
Shapes Of GEOMAG Panels
GEOMAG Panels sets have panels of different shapes – triangles, squares ans pentagons. Both biggest and smallest Panels sets have green and blue hues this picture shows.
Geomag E-Motion – Magnetic Spinning Tops
One of the sets with the spinning tops. It was interesting to play with, but we were more glad to have the transparent pentagonal panel (it happened when we didn’t have a separate set with panels – Geomag Kids Just Panels yet). The tops spin really nice, but the surface has to be smooth – we launched them on a plastic table.
Magnetic Spinning Tops
The balls make the top noticeably heavier, so it spins remarkably well.
Geomag E-Motion – Magnetic Spinning Tops
These 2 sets of Geomag allow you both to create movement and feel this movement. In general, we bought these sets not because we love spinning tops this much, but because we wanted to add pentagonal plates and multi-colored rods to the pieces we already had. Of course, it was also interesting to play with tops. In the end, we both played and added pieces to other sets. The children liked it. The smaller set is designed for spinning on the surface, the larger set, in yellow-green colors, is designed for spinning in 3D space.
Spinning Top
Spinning top made from the Geomag E-Motion set. The magnets are strong, the balls are heavy, so you need to calculate everything to ensure that the pieces connect with each other while in motion.
Geomag Just Panels – Just Panels And Nothing Else…
All summer we played with the Geomag constructor and we really missed having pentagonal panels – we had one from the glowing sets, and we found another in the sets with the spinning tops. And then, in September, we saw a set with panels – triangular, square and pentagonal!!! There fas a total 6 of the latter! In total, there are 38 panels, all in our favourite orange-red colors. Maybe there is a set with cold tones, but we haven’t seen it yet.
GEOMAG Panels
Just as the name suggests, these sets have many panels to fill the space between the rods. Just as in many cases, sets of different sizes also have different colors. This is a craft made from a bigger set, so it’s green and blue.
Tiny Robot
A typical representative of girly robots – pink, small and defenseless. The wheels was taken from Geomag Wheels sets with cars.
