Tegu Bulldozer With Trailer

I like to take magnetic construction sets somewhere outdoors – to the park, on a car trip, on a summer vacation. So the magnetic Tegu often lives in a car or stroller. We unexpectedly found a metal garden bench in the park, and Afonya (1.9) immediately began to sculpt the details of his favorite set on it. Well, the sisters and mother corrected the structures, turning them into more familiar objects, like a bulldozer, for example. Afonya added the wheels himself.

Tegu Explorer Set Wooden Building Blocks

When looking at the Nelson set through a computer screen, Admiral Nelson immediately comes to mind, setting off on a ship to the sea. Dark blue sea depths, gray-blue sky, green uninhabited islands, orange sunrise… “How romantic!” – I thought. And I was wrong – the set is named after a modern American designer from Connecticut, George Nelson. The colors in the set are really wonderful, and the quality is excellent. Sadly, I can’t say the same about the locations of the magnets in the pieces – they are catastrophically few. It seems that the details were well thought out, but they remembered about the magnets at the last moment, and hastily shoved a pair into each detail. We haven’t felt this dissapointed in a long time…

Tegu Magnetic Wooden Dog

Tegu Explorer Set – Nelson. The parts have good size – they are large, and the dog is almost the life-size of a little poodle. The short plate is 3x6x0.7 cm. The medium plate is 3x12x0.7 cm. The long plate is 3x21x0.7 cm. The short support (pillar, prism) is 3x3x9 cm. The long support (pillar, prism) – 3x3x18 cm. If you add large ears, the head may fall off – you need to carefully consider the size of the pieces.
