K’NEX Moon Orbit Beginning Of The Construction

This is how the building of our moon from K’Nex 100 crafts set station begin. Old blanket is the Moon surface.

K’Nex comes in two sizes: regular and mini K’Nex. There are also matching thick and thin rods, as well as some rods that can connect large and small pieces together. Not all K’Nex sets include mini parts.

Just like with any other K’Nex sets, this one has pieces that securely fit together. You can easily take apart your creations and use the pieces to build something else. Regular K’Nex pieces have stronger connections and can handle even very active play. Mini K’Nex creations are a bit more delicate. This K’Nex 100 crafts set, however, has regular ones.

While the crafts you make with K’Nex can be quite large, some of the pieces, especially the mini ones, are very small. This makes K’Nex sets unsafe for small babies who might accidentally swallow the pieces. These pieces can also be a bit challenging for younger kids to assemble correctly. That’s why it’s recommended for kids aged 7 and older to use K’Nex sets.

It’s also important to note that most K’Nex sets don’t come with detailed crafting instructions. Some packages may only show completed toys without step-by-step guides. However, K’Nex offers a lot of versatility and possibilities, so this is usually not a major issue.

Pieces Of The Japanese Magnetic Construction Set Magnet Block

Here are the main pieces of this building toy from different sets. These are, first of all, rods – long, short and arched, balls and hemispheres, wheels, eyes and a brown ball with 2 eyes. One of the pieces still has the rope, which attached this piece to the bag with the kit.

Geomag Kids

We unexpectedly got a new construction set – Geomag Kids Panels. We liked the length of the rods – 58mm. And we preferred the set with green, blue, and transparent panels. However, there is also a cute yellow-orange-red variant in the catalog. The panels attach well and hold securely. The set has an adequate number of triangles and squares, but there are a bit too few rods. Almost all the rods from the set were used for the castle. So, we are urgently looking for a reason to purchase the next set. The box is very colorful, so we decided to photograph the construction against its backdrop, and my son added some life to the castle with a Playmobil knight.

Waffle Blocks Cube House

Waffle blocks are very popular type of plastic building blocks. In these sets, each piece have pegs and square holes, and you can connect pieces in multiple ways to build both 2D and 3D crafts. The bricks connect to each other seamlessly, almost like in a jigsaw puzzle, so you can make endless combinations in any order you want. There are many brands of waffle building blocks, Gakken and Plus Plus are the most popular and well-known ones. This, however, is rarer vintage waffle blocks set.

Blocks by different manufacturers may look different. In Plus Plus sets, for example, all blocks are exactly the same, the only difference is color. This vintage waffle blocks set, however, has pieces of differnet shapes, and some extras, like figurines or wheels. There are also a number of long, bar-like pieces that help connect waffle blocks together. You can stack many waffles on one bar, which helps to create thick and solid crafts.

The waffle blocks themselves are small, each side of a block has only one or two pegs. Some blocks has H-shape and no pegs at all on some sides. This is a downside, because you can’t connect anything on these sides. Sometimes, however, these pieces are very handy, because you can stuck them in small openings to support the craft around it. It all other regards, it is a typical waffle block building kit with small pieces.

Castle For A Crab

Daughters fell in love with Magna-Tiles. The older one builds palaces and her beloved robots and dogs from it, and the younger one builds roads and houses. This building kit, of course, is very successful. I must say that this is the only building kit that we managed to buy in America in a real store. All the rest of our Wishlist (Kid”s Knex and even Canadian I-Gami) we could purchase only in online stores. Our neighbours who also have children have never heard of Knex, which is very weird.
