GEOMAG MagiCube 8 pcs

A small magnetic building set from the Swiss Geomag brand. This set is specifically designed for younger children, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.

All the pieces in this set have the same cubic shape and come in four vibrant colors. The cubes in this set are larger than those typically found in other sets, making them safe for children as they can’t be swallowed. Additionally, these larger cubes are sturdy, preventing kids from accessing the magnets inside.

While the magnets in this set are strong enough to support the assembled cubes, they are not too strong to pinch a finger when assembling the cubes.

Geomag brand also have bigger sets of this type available on Amazon.

Tower Bridge – from the Landmark Set

Bridges are one of Magformers’ favorite themes. The model of the bridge was in one of his very first sets, and nearly anyone who owns Magformers built bridges from this constructor. In the Landmark set – Monuments of history and culture, you can find another famous bridge, the Golden Gate.

We Also Liked The LOZ Big-Eyes

Actually, neither of my children are fans of robots. I bought the first set of Loz because of the motor and in order to look at the quality of this K’Nex-like set. But the Eyeballs charmed us completely 🙂 They run and crawl around the room so funny! And they “fight” if you direct them at one another. The robots turned out to be very similar to the Micro-Bots series from Knex. There are four sets, each with detailed instructions for one critter and a picture of a robot you can build from two sets.

Excellerations Miniature Waffle Blocks

Waffle blocks like this Excellerations miniature waffle blocks set are popular building toys. They are flat and have matching pegs on their sides. You can assemble these pieces in 2D and 3D shapes, and in different positions.
Pieces of this set have an unusually big number of pegs on them – far more than pieces of Gakken and Plus Plus. The pieces have openings in them, so you can connect the pegs to the edges or the centres of the pieces.

All the pieces in this set are exactly the same in shape in form, with the color being the only difference. You can build many things from these pieces, given all the opportunities this set has. On the other hand, this set doesn’t have arches and other similar pieces, which somewhat limits the building possibilities. The houses are the things waffle blocks make best, and, sadly, there are no options for, say, cars with moving wheels.
This particular set has pieces that are 1.5 inches wide, so they are safe for small children to play with. These pieces are easy to hold and too big to swallow, so the manufacturer recommends them for kids who are 3 years or older.
