We have this old construction set. It was released in the USA in the 80s by the Hilco corporation. It is designed for very young children. The parts are made of plastic with colorful metal inserts and a magnet on one side. There aren’t many of them, but it’s sufficient for the experiments of a 2-3-year-old child. You can build a little car, and it will move, or a pyramid, and something else suitable for toddlers. – Tatiana Zheglova.

Arishka’s Town
The magnetic construction set is one of the favorites. We build pyramids, towers, and castles, but recently the kids have enjoyed making panoramas. Arishka (2.3 years old) made the town with my little hints. She really loves the magnetic construction set and has been playing with a large magnetic construction set with 5 cm diameter balls for over a year. Now she has moved on to a smaller one. It’s challenging but interesting – you can’t make her stop.
Tegu Cars
These Tegu toys are for smaller children, so they have only few big, simple pieces. There are cars of different shapes and colors, and you can connect them with magnets, making a train.
Geomag Pro-L Pocket Set Box
A storage box of a smaller Geomag Pro-L set. Some big sets are sold in cardboard boxes, but also have similar cases for storage.
Melissa & Doug Mosaic Set – Card
This set has “pattern cards” with some mosaic pictures the manufacturer offers you to try and repeat. This is just a way to introduce kids to the mosaic – the set has only 6 two-sided cards.
Magnetic Fish
Fish from the designer Genii Creation, caught with toy fishing rods. Fishing kept my younger daughters busy all evening, especially inventing interesting fish. They also used other magnetic constructors in this process.
EDTOY Picasso Cube
Multi-colored wooden cubes with built-in magnets. The set contains 16 cubes with a side of 1,5 in. Manufacturer proposes to build patterns and use them in construction along with other wooden EDTOY pieces – for example, a large wooden EDTOY set.
