Geomag Kor Proteon Vulkram

Geomag Kor Proteon is a sub-series of Geomag Kor. It has the same building principle, with plastic blocks assembled around a metal ball. Proteon sets, hovewer, have much more extra pieces, like limbs and heads, to attach to the basic form. Basic pieces are the same ones as in other Geomag Kor sets, so you can mix them and use the pieces together to create even more creatures.

The Magnetic Castle

After struggling for a couple of days with the weak rods from the Chinese magnetic castle set, we replaced them with stronger and more colorful rods from the Magnastix (Xmag) construction set. Since the magnets in the Xmag rods are stronger, the panels held together better, and the interest of the children increased accordingly. To prevent the structures from falling apart, we built them on a metallic surface. We didn’t experiment to see if the Chinese magnetic castle set is compatible with Geomag; we decided to keep them separate. This set won’t become our main magnetic construction set, but it’s still fun to play with.

A train with two smokestacks

The set includes one figure, a double-sided one, with a male side on one face and was a female side on the other. I said “was”, because due to some damage to the picture, only the eyes with long eyelashes remained, which allowed us d to identify the female character.
