Before we had time to play enough with roofs and SmartMax panels. We built houses, and towers, and fortresses with slopes, and playgrounds with slides, and garages with parking lots. And SmartMax has already prepared new kits for girls. And as our family experience has shown, boys also love to build houses and flower beds. In the new set there are new panels with a round hole and shutters! They are double-sided or one-sided, a ndcan be opened left and right, and up, as in the attic window. Or you can make a hatch, for example, in the floor. Of course, our favorite are the roofs, and new super-long rods. And a couple of colors were added. In general, at first glance, this is a very worthy set, both as starter, for trial, and as additional set.

House-building SmartMax
We bought 2 large sets at once – Flower Palace and another set with 2 slides (Basic Stunt) for a full-fledged game of 4 younger children 2-6-8-10 years old. They have been playing for almost a year with great pleasure and growing interest. We plan to increase the number of details and interesting elements, especially since SmartMax released some attractive new products recently.
The Composition Of The SmartMax Flower Palace Set
Panels (one of them is transparent) and roofs – that’s what attracted me to this set.
SmartMax – Roofs
We liked the Flower Palace for its flowers and roofs. Flowers were familiar to us – they appeared in our magnetic collection long ago, with some of the earlier SmartMax kits. And we successfully used them with Magtastik and Bornimago constructors. But when there are many flowers, it is always bright and beautiful. But the roofs from the Flower Palace set simply won us over. You can use them in the usual classic way, like roofs, or you can turn them over and get a vase (in the post below with a magnetic bouquet). As you know, there are never too many details, but still, even from such a quantity, we got a quite spacious 2-storey house, with a ramp for cars (taken from the Basic Stunt set) and a flower gazebo.
Flower Garage
2-years-old Afonya happily and quite successfully combined his car buildings – a garage and a parking lot – with floral elements.
Magnetic Bouquet
Made from SmartMax set. We mostly used parts from the Flower Palace set.
SmartMax My First Safari Animals
This SmartMax set is meant for little children, starting from 1 year old. It contains animal figurines that children need to assemble themselves before playing. Each animal figurine consists of two parts that you have put on a magnetic rod to connect them, and you can recombine the parts as many times as you want. The rod is very similar to rods from building magnetic kits like Geomag, though this one is much bigger. Since pieces are way too big for babies to swallow accidentally, this toy is safer than most magnetic kits.
SmartMax Panels
We liked the panels, you can make a wall, or floor, or ceiling. The panels are multi-colored, some are also transparent. The rod and the panel are connecting well, it is easier to remove the panel with the rod from the structure and disconnect the rod after that than to try to remove the panel from the structure.
SmartMax Container Jars
We really wanted to try out a completely phenomenon in magnetic building – a round transparent container. We ordered 2 for testing – with balls, which are always in short supply, and curved parpiecests, which we had little. SmartMax released 6 of these jars – with long and short rods, with additional magnetic flowers and with pieces that glow in the dark.
The Temple
Large-scale construction using can-containers. We built it back when we still had few balls, so we took some of the balls from American Magtastik set. They are larger and not always steel-colored, but my daughters tried to fit them into the color scheme. And as always, there are not enough balls and rods…
